The Real Problem

What Goes Wrong With Wall Openings Done Badly

Hammered Out

Oversized, Out of Square

Door frame doesn’t fit, a mason rebuilds the sides — paid twice for one door.

Track Saw Cut

Square, To Size, Crisp Edges

The frame fits directly against the opening — no patching, no re-squaring.

Cut Blind

Load-Bearing Wall Cracks

No propping, no lintel plan — the structure above the opening cracks.

Structure Checked

Confirmed Before Cutting

Load-bearing status confirmed, engineer sign-off recommended where needed.

Cables In The Wall

A Half-Day Job Becomes A Week

Cutting a hidden conduit means an electrician’s call-out and a repaint.

Wall Scanned First

Nothing Hidden Gets Cut

The wall is scanned for conduits and pipes before the blade starts.

How A Wall Opening Job Works

Step 01

Tell Us The Wall And The Opening

Wall material, thickness, the opening size, and location. A photo on WhatsApp speeds this up — we confirm feasibility and arrange a free site visit.

Step 02

Load-Bearing Check & Safety Setup

We confirm load-bearing status and arrange propping if needed. The wall is scanned, the opening marked for approval, work area sheeted off.

Step 03

The Cut

The diamond blade follows the marked lines, water-fed to control dust, with the operator checking alignment throughout.

Step 04

Edge Finishing & Cleanup

Edges are smoothed for the frame or duct, debris and slurry removed, sheeting comes down. The room is left clean and usable.

Step 05

Measure And Sign Off

The finished opening is measured against agreed dimensions with you present. Photos and documentation available on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if a wall is load-bearing?

We assess wall thickness, position relative to the structural grid, and what sits above it. If there’s doubt, we recommend a structural engineer sign off — we won’t guess on this.

Do you install the lintel or temporary support?

We install temporary propping during the cut. Permanent lintels are typically supplied by your main contractor or engineer — we can coordinate with them directly.

Can you cut a perfectly square opening for a door frame?

Yes — give us the frame’s outer dimensions and we cut to that size with a small, consistent tolerance so the frame fits without packing or re-cutting.

Wall cutting vs. saw cutting — what’s the difference?

Wall cutting opens vertical walls for doors, windows, and duct pass-throughs. Saw cutting is horizontal — floors, joints, pavement.

How messy is cutting inside an occupied home or office?

We sheet off the work area and use wet-cutting or vacuum extraction to control dust. The site is swept and debris removed before we leave.
