Common Questions

How deep can GPR see into concrete?

Reliably to around 300–400mm in typical structural concrete, covering most slabs and walls. Detection depth depends on the concrete’s condition — the technician tells you the confidence level on site.

Can the scan tell rebar apart from a PT cable or conduit?

Usually yes — they read differently in the radar data. Where a target is ambiguous, we mark it as a no-cut zone rather than guessing.

Do I get a report, or just marks on the concrete?

Surface markings are standard on every scan. A written report with photos is available for your project file on request.

How long does a scan take?

Clearing a handful of specific hole positions takes 20–30 minutes. A full opening outline or slab section takes longer depending on area.

Can I book scanning alone, without cutting?

Yes. Anchor clearance, as-built verification, or scanning ahead of another contractor’s work are all booked standalone.
